OklahClll8. <br /> <br />Survey-scope study of flood problem on <br />Little Arkansas River at Halstead, <br />Kansas. <br /> <br />Investigation to establish the location <br />of the turning basin to be provided by <br />the Federal Government at the upper limit <br />of the project. <br /> <br />The investigation, initiated in FY 1962, will <br />be continued. Coordination with other field <br />agencies may be required in FY 1963. Report is <br />scheduled for completion in FY 1964. <br /> <br />Survey studies are essentially complete. Prep- <br />aration of report, field-level review of report <br />draft by State & Federal agencies & completion <br />of report are scheduled for current fiscal <br />year. <br /> <br />Survey studies are under way & will be con- <br />tinued. Coordination with other Federal & <br />State agencies will be required. Completion of <br />report is tentatively scheduled for summer 1965. <br /> <br />Engineering & economic studies will be continued. <br />Survey report is currently programmed for com- <br />pletion in the spring of 1964. <br /> <br />Investigations are under way of a diversion <br />plan, channel improvement plan & other alterna- <br />tives. Report preparation is programmed for <br />continuation this FY & completion in FY 1964. <br /> <br />Basic studies are being accomplished in con- <br />junction with project planning. Survey re- <br />port is tentatively programmed for FY 1964 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
