Copies of the ~lood <br /> <br />Control Operating Plan currently in force shall be kept on file in and <br /> <br />may be obtained from the Office of the District Engineer, Corps of ~ngi- <br /> <br />neers, and the Regional Director, Bureau of Reclamation, in char~e of <br /> <br />the locality. <br /> <br />b. Releases from Paonia Reservoir shall be restricted insofar as <br /> <br />possible, to quantities Vhich viII not cause flows in North Fork Gunnison <br /> <br />River near Somerset to exceed the controlling flow rate, as specified in <br /> <br />the Flood Control Operating Plan. Any vater temporarily stored in the <br /> <br />flood control space shall be released as rapidly as can safely be accam- <br /> <br />plished without causing downstream flows to exceed those criteria. <br /> <br />c. Nothing in the regulations of this section shall be construed <br /> <br />to require dangerously rapid changes in magnitudes of relea:;es or that <br /> <br />releases be made at rates Or in a manner that vould be inconsistent with <br /> <br />requirements for protecting the dam and reservoir from major d~e. <br /> <br />d. The Bureau of Reclamation, shall procure such current hydrologic <br /> <br />data and make such current determinations of required flood control space <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />and releases as are required to accomplish the flood control objectives <br /> <br />prescribed in this section. <br /> <br />e. The Bureau of Reclamation shall keep the District Engineer, Corns <br /> <br />of Engineers, in charge of the locality, currently advised of reservoir <br /> <br />releases, reservoir storage, and such other operating data as the District <br /> <br />~ngineer may request, and also those basic operating criteria which affect <br /> <br />the schedule of operation. <br /> <br />A-2 <br />
