With storage rights in Rifle Gap

Reservoir he could retain Middle Rifle Creek flow and have an

equivalent amount released from storage for the older rights.

This owner states that he would be willing to participate in

paying for Rifle Gap Reservoir.

Regulation of Rifle Creek by Rifle Gap Reservoir would

probably benefit many of the Rifle Valley ditches whose owners

are not now interested in improvement of their supplies.

The probable demands and potential benefits mentioned

above justify provision of the additional 2,000 acre-feet of

storage at Rifle Gap bringing total storage capacity for

irrigation to 8,000 acre-feet.
