The post season release <br /> <br />commenced on October 1, 1968 and was completed on Octo- <br /> <br />ber 8, 1968 and totaled 269 acre feet. <br /> <br />Association Canal Headinq <br /> <br />On several occasions during the 1968 season the locking <br /> <br />devices at the Association canal heading were broken and <br /> <br />the gates reset by unauthorized persons. The Rio Costilla <br /> <br />.Livestock Association board members were advised of the <br /> <br />tampering and were asked to assist the Watermaster in <br /> <br />correcting the problem. Finally on August 14, 1965 the <br /> <br />New Mexico State Engineer requested that the New Mexico <br /> <br />State Police have an officer visit the heading as fre~ <br /> <br />quently as possible and arrest and charge any person, <br /> <br />other then the Watermaster, found tampering with the gates <br /> <br />1 <br />
