<br />(0 <br />~, l'J <br />~~ <br />~ <br />(~) <br />~~ <br /> <br />Storaqe in Costilla Reservoir <br /> <br />On September 30, 1967 storage in Costilla reservoir was <br /> <br />2980 acre feet. Storage increased to 8420 acre feet by <br /> <br />May 16, 1968 and reached a maximum of 11,680 acre feet in <br /> <br />June. Storage on September 30, 1968 was 5050 acre feet <br /> <br />and on October 8, 1968 storage was reduced to 4983 acre <br /> <br />feet as a result of a post season release requested by <br /> <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />Post Irriqation Storaqe Release <br /> <br />By letter of September 23, 1968 Jaroso Mutual Ditch Company <br /> <br />requested that they be allowed to make a post irrigation <br /> <br />season storage release from Costilla reservoir for use in <br /> <br />the Jaroso Colorado area. Their letter explained that as <br /> <br />a result of the ditch lining program they had. been engaged <br /> <br />in during the latter part of the irrigation season it had <br /> <br />not been possible to deliver adequate water during Septem- <br /> <br />ber to provide a fall irrigation of their alfalfa fields. <br /> <br />They felt that a fall watering was necessary and requested <br /> <br />storage water be delivered for approximately one-week in <br /> <br />October.
