<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Included within these activities are the assembling, reviewing and <br />evaluating available data, necessary field survey work, drafting a report <br />and supplementary material for consideration of the Field Advisory <br />Committee, and completion of other necessary and related duties. <br /> <br /> <br />ACTIVITIES OF COOPERATING ORGANIZATIONS <br /> <br />Local <br /> <br />Basic data on land use and development, soils classification, soil and <br />water management requirements, farm plan development, local economic <br />considerations, group facility development requirements, small stock and <br />irrigation water developments and plans for future project and non- <br />project type developments, and present and proposed recreation use and <br />development will be obtained from local Soil Conservation Districts, <br />Conservancy Districts, and other local authorities to the extent that <br />their records permit. <br /> <br />Federal <br /> <br />Data and information available from other Federal agencies will be <br />utilized to the fullest extent possible. Reports of the Federal <br />Water Quality Administration, will be reviewed and studied with regard to <br />their relationship to the survey area and the use and development of its <br />water and related land resources. Climatological records of the ESSA <br />Weather Bureau will be used, as will hydrological records and studies of <br />the Geological 3urvey. Mineral resource data will be obtained from the <br />Bureau of Mines. The recreatiop need8 of the area and recreation <br />plannin~ will be developed in consultation with ropresentatives of the <br />Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife and <br />Na.tional Park Service, and informa.tion from their recreation plans will <br />he incorporated in the study. Land use and land management needs and <br />plans of these agencies and the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of <br />Indian Affairs will be coordinated with field observations and infoma- <br />tion from other sources. Rural development needs expressed by other <br />Federal agencies such as Farmers Home Administration and Rural Electrifi- <br />cation Administration will be incorporated in the study as well as flood <br />control needs and measures developed by the Corps of Engineers. <br /> <br />- 12 - <br />
