<br />. <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />The cooperating State agencies will develop policies and procedure for <br />the conduct of their part of the survey. With respect to cooperative <br />activities with the U. S. Department of Agriculture, procedures will be <br />adopted to attain agreed-upon objectives. To assist in meeting objectives <br />of USDA-State cooperation, the Colorado Water Conservation Board will <br />arrange, to the extent needed or possible, for cooperation by other State <br />or Federal agencies so that results of the survey will provide a basis <br />for coordination. The survey work and other related activities of the <br />Board will be carried out under instructions of its Director in accordance <br />with policies established by the Board. <br /> <br />The Colorado Water Conservation Board will assume leadership for the <br />following aspects of the survey: <br /> <br />1. Arrangements for cooperation as needed with the other concerned <br />Federal, State, and local agencies, provide liaison with these <br />agencies, and obtain and exchange needed information and data. <br /> <br />2. Compilation of information relating to water rights, the present use <br />of water, and stream depletion resulting from such use. <br /> <br />3. Analysis of desirable potential use of water and the attaching stream <br />depletion. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4. Preparation of summaries showing present status of water resources <br />development and potential ultimate development. <br /> <br />5. Detemination of need for additional maps and arrangements for <br />assistance in compiling them with other agencies. <br /> <br />6. Determination of need for additional streamflow and precipitation <br />information and arrangement for its collection. <br /> <br />ARRANGEMENTS FOR COORDINATION <br /> <br />Inherent in this plan of Work is the need for coordination and cooperation <br />with local, State, and Federal agencies. Overall coordination and cooper- <br />ative arrangements to meet agreed-upon objectives shall be provided by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board with regard to State and other agencies <br />outside the USDA. Liaison between agriculturally-oriented local groups <br />and USDA shall be a function of USDA, as shall liaison with other USDA <br />agencies. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- 13 - <br /> <br />
