<br /> <br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />September 2001 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of September was computed to be <br />141 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 2138 AF net San Juan-Chama (SJ-C) <br />losses, as shown in Table 2. There were 313 AF diverted through Azotea Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was 0.30 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir, which is 19% of the <br />September running average of 1.58 inches. The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are <br />summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />There was a total of 141 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron through seepage (Table 3) . <br />There were no SJ-C releases for the month September. <br /> <br />There was a total: of 1790 AF of SJ-C released for the month of September from El Vado, this <br />was from the 'Middle Rio Grande District's (MRGCD) pool for irrigation needs down stream <br />(Table 4) '. <br /> <br />There was 54 AF of SJ-C water released from Abiquiu, of which the total was released from <br />MRGCD's pool for irrigation needs (Table 4, may be slight rounding differences from letter <br />vs. table). <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 174 AF. There were 4.7 AF of <br />losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez Canyon <br />Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and evaporation of Rio <br />Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in Table 6. <br /> <br />Table 5C provides water accounting information for Elephant Butte Reservoir. Please note <br />content information for Elephant Butte has been corrected taking into accountant the latest <br />area capacity tables effective January 1, 2001. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and analyzed. <br />
