<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />December 2001 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of December was computed to be 490 <br />acre-feet ~AF) as shown in Table 3. There were -54 P.~F net San Juan-Chama (SJ-C) losses, <br />as shown in Table 2. There were no diversions through Azotea Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was 0.77 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir, which is 64% of the <br />December running average of 1. 20 inches. The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are <br />summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />There was a total of 135 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron through seepage (Table 3) . <br />There was 21608 AF of SJ-C released for the month of December, of which 8120 AF was <br />released for the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD) to their pool in El Vado. <br />4094 AF was released for the City of Albuquerque (City) to their pool in Abiquiu (31 AF was <br />temporarily stored in El Vado, which was released the first week of January 2002) . 2112 AF <br />was released from Cochi ti' s pool to the Cochi ti Rec Pool in Cochi ti. 62 AF was released <br />from Nambe's pool to go down stream for irrigation depletions at Otowi. 5605 AF was <br />released from Santa Fe's pool destined to their pool in Abiquiu. 400 AF was released from <br />Bernalillo's pool destined to their pool in Abiquiu. 1000 AF was released from Espanola's <br />pool, 27 AF to their pool in El Vado, 973 AF to their Abiquiu pool. 15 AF was released from <br />Twinning's pool, 7 AF to El Vado, 8 AF to Abiquiu. 200 AF was released from Los Lunas' s <br />pool destined to their pool in El Vado. <br /> <br />There were no SJ-C releases from El Vado for the month of December. <br /> <br />There were no SJ-C releases from Abiquiu for the month of December. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 201 AF. There. were 0.3 AF of <br />losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez Canyon <br />Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables .5A-5C. Storage and evaporation of Rio <br />Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in Table 6. <br /> <br />Table 5C provides water accounting information for Elephant Butte Reservoir.
