<br />The ecological analysis summarizes the relationships and biological
<br />impacts based on three wildl ife studies and one vegetation study completed
<br />in 1972. It listed beneficial and adverse biological, physical, and
<br />soci a 1 impacts of the Narrows Unit.
<br />
<br />The recently completed historic and archeologic study indicates
<br />65 sites to be test excavated, 10 sites be fully excavated, and research
<br />be continued on the historic towns at Narrows Unit during the pre-
<br />construction period and recomnended a tv/O-man team to monitot' construction.
<br />No specific sites were nominated .to the National Historic Register;
<br />however, the study area is being recommended to the National Register of
<br />Historic'Places as a historic district of significance. .
<br />
<br />The vector study listed beneficial and adverse effects and indicated
<br />the project wou'ld contribute to the control of mosquitoes in the reservoir
<br />area.

<br />Under Federal laws, certain allocated costs of Reclamation projects
<br />are nonreimbursable and the cost is absorbed as a desirable Federal
<br />investment. Certain other allocated costs are reimbursable by the direct
<br />beneficiaries - some without interest, while others are interest-bearing.
<br />
