I am unable .0 attend but do wish to receive
copies of handouts, Infonnatlon packets, and similar material made available at
the meetings. I believe I am already on the mailing list for the process, but if
not, I do wish to be Included.

The Infonnatlon packet dated October 1994 Is helpful In setting out the
relationships between the several planning processes underway.

Comments at this stage:

1. Some explanation of water flow requirements for the various scenarios Is
needed - not In tenns of releases at dams but In tenns of annual requirements to
achieve th()se releases In acre.feet. This would help to provide a sense of how
WAPA's planning would fit Into other water resource planning efforts within the
Colorado River Basin.

i
2. When thennal power generation Is eV,aluated as a replacement option,
water requirements for evaporative cooling !should be presented and as well as
associated Indirect requirements such as In mining, drilling, transport,
commercial, and domestic uses. Infonnatlpn developed In the 1970's related to
, energy resource development In theweste~n states could be a starting point.

3. Demand and supply Infonnatlon should be presented about Implications to
the serviced customers of WAPA In the context of deregulation with electricity
brokerage and retail wheeling and also In the context of Independent power
production especially from cogeneration facilities.

RespeCtfUllY:, ~ IU~ P -
1)"f>h E.
