Measures that would be taken, if any, in <br />regard to prevention of pollution from mines outside the project boundaries <br />should be described. Adequate controls should be placed on all mining in <br />the reservoir drainage area to assure that reservoir vater quality vill be <br />suitable for its intended uses. <br /> <br />Response: The final envirolll!lental statement includes a <br />discussion of acid mine drainage probabilities, and the remedial, <br />protective, and mitigative section now includes an extensive discussion <br />of mines and their effects on the proposed Bear Creek Lake. <br /> <br />Comment: The assimilative capacity of Bear Creek vill be <br />reduced when the stream is impounded. <br /> <br />Response: I. is agreed that Bear Creek vill lose some of <br /> <br />23 <br />
