C. 20315 <br /> <br />July 10, 1967 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Dear General Cassidy: <br /> <br />'0) <br /> <br />Reference is made to your letter of May II, 1967, requesting comments <br />and recommendations on the "Interim Report and Appendices, Bear Creek <br />Basin, Colorado." <br /> <br />The following comments and recommendations are considered pertinent <br />regarding the health related problems which may be affected by the <br />proposed project. <br /> <br />I. To minimize publ ic health hazards appropriate steps during design, <br />construction, and maintenance of the project should be taken to <br />avoid conditions which may increase populations of mosquitoes and <br />other arthropods and rodents of public health importance or which <br />may result in undue exposure of humans to such vectors. Such <br />appropriate steps are defined in the Public Health Service Publ i- <br />cation "Prevention and Control of Vector Problems Associated with <br />Water Resources." <br /> <br />2. Proposed recreational areas should be thoroughly reviewed by the <br />Jefferson County Health Department and minimum water and sanitary <br />facil ities should be provided in accordance with Colorado State <br />Department of Public Health requirements. <br /> <br />", <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />3.
