<br />en <br />'1'- <br />00 <br />.... <br />,-., <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Draft 3/9/94 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Street <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />e <br />March 1, 1994 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) is the State agency <br />charged with developing and promoting the beneficial use of the waters of Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CWCB is the lead state agency in representing Colorado in the <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity Control (CRBSC) Program and the Director of the CWCB is <br />a member of the CRBSC Forum; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CWCB is aware of and concerned with the potential impairment of <br />beneficial use of water by excessive salinity levels in the Colorado River System; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CWCB has today heard a full presentation by Aqua-Chern, Inc. and <br />CWCB staff of the desalination project being proposed by Aqua-Chern, Inc. in the Glenwood <br />Springs area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Aqua-Chern project can alleviate a portion of the salinity problem <br />on the mainstem of the Colorado River in Colorado and basinwide. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this8'th day of March, 1994, that <br />it does hereby support the implementation of the Glenwood Springs Desalination Project as <br />a salinity control project subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. Site selection issues are satisfactorily resolved with local governments. <br />
