Because the cost effectiveness of salinity reduction varies <br />greatly among these pressure lateral systems, an incremental analysis was <br />performed. Each lateral was ranked according to cost effectiveness. Appendix <br />B contains a table which shows the cost effectiveness of each pressure <br />lateral, ranked from the lowest cost per ton of salt removed to the highest. <br />Cut-off limits of $50, $75, and $100 per ton of salt relllOVed were evaluated. <br />The results of this incremental analysis are summarized in Tables IV-l, IV-2, <br />and Iv-3. 'l11erefore, values in Table IV-l include no increments with a cost <br />greater than $50 per ton, values in Table IV-2 include no increments with a <br />cost greater than $75 per ton, and values in Table IV-3 include no increments <br />with a cost greater than $100 per ton. <br /> <br />O'J[618 <br /> <br />IV-5 <br />
