As you know, the City of Trinidad submitted a draft documents to the Bureau, the Purgatoire District, Colorado, and Kansas in December. These draft documents could be modified as necessary to include other matters of consensus. We would hope that any change in Trinidad's proposal can be circulated and agreed upon by March 28. 4. Upon review of the draft resolution and revised operating principles by all of the parties, a telephonic meeting of the Arkansas River Compact Administration should be held in early April. The purpose of the meeting would include the approval of the change of operating principles. . It is our understanding that all parties are anxious to move forward with this matter. The City of Trinidad has sought for many years to improve its municipal and industrial water supply in an effort to stimulate economic development and to enhance the reservoir pool that is available for fishery and recreation. The City of Trinidad is grateful to the Bureau of Reclamation for its efforts related to the City's interests and we are hopeful that the operating principles can be formally amended in early April.
