<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />0020:]5 <br /> <br />Introduction (ConlIl.) <br /> <br />River and White Rock Creek Basire from the Nebraska-Kansas State line <br />south of Superior, Nebrsska, to five miles south of Courtland, Kansas. <br /> <br />Kirwin Irrigation District No.1 <br /> <br />Kirwin Reservoir provides storage for 11 ,500 acres of land served by <br />the Kirwin Main, North and South Canal systems. The project area of <br />11,500 acres is 1,500 acres larger than the area originally planned <br />for irrigation with the available water supply and successful irriga- <br />tion operation will be dependent upon several years of carryover reser- <br />voir storage. These lands are in the valley of the North Fork of the <br />Solomon River between Kirwin and Portis, Kansas. All of the major <br />construction is completed. <br /> <br />Webster Irrigation District No.4 <br /> <br />Webster Reservoir provides storage for the 8,500 acres served by the <br />Osborne Canal System. These lands are on the north side of the South <br />Fork of the Solomon River Valley from Woods ton to approximately five <br />miles east of Osborne, Kansas, All of the major construction is <br />completed. <br /> <br />Cedar Bluff Irrigation District No.6 <br /> <br />Cedar Bluff Reservoir provides storage for irrigation of 6,600 acres <br />of Cedar Bluff Irrigation District lands on the north side of the <br />Smoky Hill River Valley. All of the major construction has been com- <br />pleted and the system was transferred to the District for operation <br />and maintenance on January 1, 1965, <br /> <br />IRRIGATION SEASON <br /> <br />The contracted irrigation season for Frenchman Valley, H &RW and <br />Frenchman-Cambridge Irrigation Districts is from May 1 to October 15, <br />and for all other districts, the irrigation season is from May 1 to <br />September 30. <br /> <br />4 <br />
