<br />30 REPORT OF COLORADO RIVER COMMISSION OF NEVADA <br /> <br />538.100 Compensation, expenses of commissioners, employees. <br />1. Each commissioner, except the director or the -state dcpart~ <br />ment of conservation and natural resources, shall receive as com- <br />pensation $25 for each day actually employ cd on the work of the <br />commission. Each commissioner and employee of the commission <br />shall be allowed the per cliem expense allowance and travel expenses <br />as provided by law. <br />2. 'l'hc secretary shall certify all bills and claims for per diem <br />expense allowances and travel expenses or the commissioners and <br />employees, and shall file the same with the state board of examiners <br />for its action. Within a reasona.ble time after the appointment 01 the com- <br />missioners, th e commission shall meet upon the call or the director <br />or the state department of: conservation and natural resources and <br />effect an organization. <br />2. At the first meeting of the commission in 1966, and at the first <br />meeting of the commission in each calendar year thereafter, the <br />commission shall select officers for the' ensuing calendar year consist- <br />ing of a chairman, vice chairman and secretary. The commissioners. shall meet at such times and in such place.s <br />as shall he dcsignated by the chairman; bnt a majority of thc com. <br />missioners may call a meeting of the commission at any time and <br />place designated by them in a writ.ten notice thereof given all com- <br />missioners as provided in this subsection. Notice of all meetings shall <br />be given to each commissioner by the secretary, or otherwise, at least <br />5 days before ea.eh meeting. AllY such notice may be waived by a <br />commissioner or commissioners in writing. <br />2. 'l'he commission shall have the power to employ such assist- <br />ants and employecs as may be absolntely necessary to carry the pur. <br />poscs of NRS 538.040 to 538.260, inclusive, into effect. Such assistants <br />and cmployees shall receive reasonable salaries, to be fixed by the <br />commission, and shall have such duties as may be prescribed by the <br />commission. <br />[Part 9:71:1935; A 1951, 235] <br />
