. . . fI:'"J7 '3 'J U \ J 12-6-91 SCOPE OF SERVICES Page 7 Subtask 1.1.b: Ongoing Coordination and Public Involvement Activities Throughout the project there will be a need for public information and participation activities. These activities will be coordinated and conducted by the Sponsors Committee but information and technical support for these activities will be required from the project team. Under this subtask, information and support for ongoing public information and participation activities will be provided as requested by the Sponsors Committee. It is anticipated that information summaries and memoranda will be required in advance of all Sponsors Committee and PFG meetings. Subtask 1.2: Document Review and Existing Model SlImm'..y The objective of this task is to insure that the project makes maximum use of existing information related to Gunnison River basin hydrology and water management practices by conducting a thorough review of previous efforts. This subtask will comprise two subtasks. Subtask 1.2.a: Collect and Review Previous Studies In this subtask, Hydrosphere will collect, inventory and review previous studies and available data related to Gunnison River basin hydrology, water use, water rights, operations of existing water projects and plans for potential water projects. Hydrosphere will submit a bibliography of published studies and data in its possession with a description of any material in each upon which it contemplates reliance. The Sponsors' Committee will review the bibliography and advise Hydrosphere of any other resources which ought to be obtained and reviewed. Subtask 1.2.b: Summary and Critical Review of Existing Model To facilitate the Sponsors Committee's guidance regarding the design of the simulation component of the Planning Model, Hydrosphere will critically review and summarize in layman's terms the assumptions and operation of the existing basin model. Particular attention will be paid to description of project operating procedures as they are embodied in the existing model. It is intended that the summary will explain the existing model and that the critical review will provide a readily understandable "jumping-off place" for discussions of desired modifications and enhancements to that model. The Task Memorandum prepared at the conclusion of Subtask 1.2 will include the summary of the existing model and a discussion of the procedures, findings, conclusions, and recommendations resulting from the performance of Subtask 1.2.
