The draft manual will contain sections on hardware and software requirements
to nm the model, installation, model assumptions, and use of all model features. A table
of contents and a complete index will be included.

Subtask 3.3: Prepare Final User's Manual

After receiving comments from the sponsor's group, the draft manual will be revised
and published as a final User Manual.

Task 4: Training

The objective of this task is to initiate a knowledge base in model operation and use
among a group of selected users. It will consist of two components, a training workshop
and a prescribed amount of telephone support.

Hydrosphere will conduct a training workshop at the end of the project for up to
15 persons designated by the Sponsor's Committee. This workshop will be conducted at
Hydrosphere's offices (to take advantage of a known network of computers) and will
consist of two sessions, a morning session to familiarize users with basic model theory,
configuration, and assumptions, and an afternoon session to provide hands-on experience
in model use. The afternoon session would include model installation procedures and
would work through the User Manual's tutorial example of scenario creation, execution,
and evaluation. Ample time would be allowed for questions.

Hydrosphere will make staff available to conduct a second training workshop for
sub-licensees at a time and place to be determined by the Sponsors Committee, at the fee
schedule specified in the contract for this project. Costs for the second training workshop
will be paid by the participants in the workshop. The second workshop will be cancelled
if the number of pre-paid participants is insufficient (at a reasonable cost per person) to
cover Hydrosphere's charges.

Task 5: System Maintenance

The objective of this task is to provide limited telephone suport for model users and
to maintain a record of bugs found by users after final release of the model and to define
a procedure for assessing the need for software maintenance and upgrading.
