Agreement will be assessed both
quantitatively and qualitatively.

Subtask 2.4.c: Beta Release and Testing

This subtask will provide for the installation and use of the model in several test
user sites. Beta testing will allow for the model to be debugged before final release. Draft
documentation from Task 3 will be necessary at the time of beta release. Beta release is
presently scheduled for January 15,1993.

Subtask 2.4.d: Revision of Errors

Severe program errors discovered in the beta testing will be fixed in this subtask.
The possibility of introducing new program errors when changing software to fix known
errors will have to be balanced in this step.

.

Subtask 2.4.e: Final Release

This final model will be released when all tasks through Task 4 are finished. Upon
final release, the River District will issue a fonnal, written acceptance of the Planning
Model.

Task 3: Documentation

The purpose of this task is to provide a written record of the infonnation necessary
to modify and operate the model and to support software maintenance.

Task 3.1: Prepare Programmer's Manual

The objective of this subtask is to provide a manual for programmers who will
maintain the model software in the future. This manual will describe the overall workings
of the software including the main logic, interfaces between code modules, importantalgorithms and software build instructions. Additional documentation will be provided in
the fonn of code comments produced in Subtask 2.3. .
