<br />"002892 <br /> <br />3. Warm Springs Dam - Lake Sonoma. The Warm Springs Dam project <br />is on schedule at approximately 15 percent complete. Since the <br />construction contract was awarded on 30 May 1978, work has consisted <br />of grading, clearing, and other preparation work at the fish hatchery <br />site, the left abutment of the dam, and the outlet works and tunnels. <br />There has been placement of embankment material in the cofferdam <br />and downstream Random II areas of the dam and excavation work in <br />the spi 11 way . <br /> <br />The contract for Warm Springs Dam Fish Hatchery Building, Visitor <br />Center, Residence and Related Facilities, was awarded on 20 October <br />1978 to the firm of Swinerton and Walberg Company for the amount of <br />$7,731,000. The hatchery facilities are scheduled to start operation <br />in June 1980. <br /> <br />The Cultural Resources contract was awarded on 3 July 1978 with <br />a scheduled completion date of 31 December 1979. ' <br /> <br />4. Cucamonga Creek. The Phase III construction package costing <br />$10.1 million was completed in July 1978. Construction on Phase IV <br />of the project commenced on 13 June 1978. Phase IV construction <br />costing $8.3 million is 55 percent complete with completion scheduled <br />for April 1979. <br /> <br />5. Indian Bend Wash, Arizona. The Indian School Park Project costing <br />$3.8 million is 40 percent complete with completion scheduled for <br />June 1979. <br /> <br />Work on the Channel Inlet Project costing $1.5 million started <br />i,n July 1978, is 8 percent complete with completion scheduled in <br />November 1979. <br /> <br />6. Los Angeles-Long Beach Harbors. Phase II AE&D studies have been <br />initiated and are proceeding at an accelerated rate. Effects of <br />dredge material disposal are being modeled at the Corps' Waterways <br />Experiment Station. The Phase II General Design Memo is scheduled <br />for completion in May 1979. <br /> <br />7. Tijuana River. Construction on this $6.6 million project is <br />progressing well and is 77 percent complete. Completion is scheduled <br />for January 1979. <br /> <br />8. Cave Buttes Dam. Construction of this $9 million project is <br />60 percent complete with completion scheduled for 19 November 1979 <br />however, November rains has delayed progress somewhat. Cave Butte~ <br />Dam is the second unit of the Phoenix and Vicinity flood control <br />project to be placed under construction. <br /> <br />C-39 <br /> <br />
