DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE <br /> <br /> <br />Semi-Annual Report <br /> <br />Pacific Southwest Inter-Agency Committee' <br /> <br />July 1 - December 31, 197B <br /> <br />SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE <br /> <br />RIVER BASIN PLANNING <br /> <br />ARIZONA: Santa Cruz-San Pedro River Basin Cooperative Study <br /> <br />All public meetings have been conducted to discuss study <br />content and ways special interest groups can use the study. <br />Distribution of the main and resource inventory reports has <br />been completed. However, we continue to get individual <br />requests for the reports periodically. All work is completed <br />on this study except for providing reports when requested. <br />In about one year the staff will meet again with some of the <br />special interest groups that received copies of the reports. <br />The purpose of these meetings will be to determine how the <br />reports are being used. Groups that we probably will meet <br />with are the Central Arizona Association of Governments, <br />Huachuca Conservation Council, Pima Association of Governments, <br />Coronado RC&D Council, and SCS District Conservationists. <br /> <br />Little Colorado River Basin Cooperative Study <br /> <br />Progress has been made on field investigations needed for the <br />study. A working paper describing recreation supply and demand <br />has been sent to the WTSC for review and comments. A draft <br />working paper dealing with flooding in the Arizona portion of <br />the study area is currently undergoing staff review. <br /> <br />An agreement was entered into with the USGS to develop a water <br />availability map for the study area. Expected completion date <br />is March 1979. <br /> <br />Colorado River Indian Reservation Irrigation Water Management <br />Study <br /> <br />Approval was given by the Washington Advisory Committee to <br />develop a plan of work for this study. A plan of work has been <br />developed and is undergoing staff review. Meetings were held <br />with the BIA, Parker Valley NRCD, and Resources Committee of the <br />Colorado River Tribes to discuss study objectives and obtain <br />their input for the plan of work. <br /> <br />c-25 <br />
