The airline distance is approximately 7 miles. <br /> <br />The confluence of the South Platte River and Bijou Creek is approximately 3-1/4 <br /> <br />miles downstream from the NarrolVS Dam site. <br /> <br />The intersectian of InterstOlte Highway 80S with U. S. Highway 34 and <br /> <br />Colorado State Highway 39 lies appr.lXimatdy 12 miles to tlw southwest. <br /> <br />The dam site lies in Range3 53 and 59 \'vest, Townslrip 4 North, Morgan <br /> <br />County. The proposed refJC1'Voir, along the bed of the SOClth Platte River, extends <br /> <br />from Range 58 V':est to Hange 61 Viest in Townships 4 and 5 North. The fee <br /> <br />. taking for the proposed reservoir lies entirely in Morgan County. The proposed <br /> <br />flood easement extends slightly over a mile into Weld County. <br /> <br />The 'lveralllength of the proposed talj.ng in fee for thc dam and reservoir <br /> <br />is approximately 11-1/1 airline mi12s. Inclusive of the flood casement the <br /> <br />overall length is approximately 14 -1 / 2 miles. The maxirr.um IV kith of the taking <br /> <br />(at the dam site) is appro~:imately 5-1/4 miles. <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />Elevation <br /> <br />Information obtained from the U. S. Geological Survey map indicates the <br /> <br />minimum elevation within the proposed bkin2 is approxi;,.-,at"ly 4, 3~0 feet.
