Investigations in Progress -- Reconnaissance

Arizona-Colorado River Diversion Project, Little Colorado River Basin
and Adjacent Counties -- Studies continued on alternate designs and esti-
mates of facilities that would supply the northern Arizona areas with
supplemental water for agricultural and/or municipal and industrial use.
Work continued on farm budgets for the agricultural areas in the Little
Colorado River Basin. A reconnaissance report on the Little Colorado
River Basin and Adjacent Counties is scheduled for completion in August
1965.

. Inland Basins Projects -- The interim report on the Mojave River Basin,
California was completed and is being reviewed by Bureau of Reclamation
personnel.

Economic and water supply studies continued on the Morongo- Yucca-
Twenty-nine Palms a.reas in. California. Land class ification and land use
studies are in progress. An interim report is scheduled for completion
. inSeptember 1965.

Feasibility

Kingman Project, Arizona This investigation will make feas ibility
studies of a plan to provide supplemental municipal and industrial water
supplies by direct diversiou and.pumping from Lake Mohave on the Colorado
River to Kingman, Arizona, and those adjacent areas which appear to have
a potentiality for domestic and industrial growth. Topographic mapping
of the proposed pipe1 ine route from Lake Mohave to Kingman is inprog-
ress. The Regional Director's propos ed report is scheduled for comple-
tioninSeptember 1967.

Feasibility studies on the Central Arizona Project continued. Ground-
water studies in the project area and geologic studies of the proposed
structure sites continued. .Contro1 surveys and topographic mapping are
progress ing for various structures along the Granite Reef Aquedu ct route.

The geology appendix to the design data submittal for the Havasu Pumping
Plant, Buckskin Mountains Tunnel, and Osborne Wash Dam was completed.
