Releases from Lake Gr'lnby to satisfy [ish requirements were established by the
Secretary of Interior Oil ,J:lIlLl:lry 1 n, 10(a. A r~lcase from Ln.ke Granby of 20
~.f.s. is required from October 1 until AP1'i1 :JOofenchycar. Duringthe remain-
inp; months of lh~ YC:lr, th~ control point is almost ;1 miles downstream from the
dam. Although the seepa!!;e from Gran"y Dam :,nd some inflow from tributaries
enter the strdch of stream, there :1rC :1Iso diversions for several irrigation
ditchcs between GrnnllY D:\I11 and the control point. Except in years of subnormal
inflow, 110ws of 7:; c. f. s. durinp; the M:ly-June period, ~O c. f. s. during August,
and 20 Co f. s. durin[!; September are required :It this point. The flow during the
May-September pel'iod can be reduced if foree:lsts indiente that the inflow during
the \\'nter ye:lr to Shadow Mountain L:iI,c. Cr:llHI Lake, and Lake Granby Reser-
,.oirs (less the decreed rigllts in the re:leh of tlH' Colorado Rivcrbetween Granby
D:lrn :llld the mouth of the Fraser River), and the wnter capable of being pumped
from Willow Creek Reservoir in that yenr is 2:30,000 acre-feet or less. . The
following' reductions in fishery flow will apply on the basis of a forecast to be
made by the Bureau of Reclamation, using. information for all available sources,
during the last week in April.

Willow Creek below Willow Creek Reservoir is not conSidered as a fishery
resource since an irrigation ditch a short distance below the dam generally uses
the entire flow in the late summer months. In the Secretarial Determination, no
releases were provided to maintain Willow Creek as a live stream. However, a
release of 7 c. f. s. or inflow, whichever is the lesser, from Willow Creek Reser-
voir is required during the October 1 - April 30 period to augment fishery flows
in the Colorado River.

A minimum release of 25 c. f. s. from October 1 to May 31 and 50 c. f. s. from
June 1 to September 3D, or inflow, whichever is the lesser, is made from Shadow
Mountain Lake to maintain fish and wildlife in the Colorado River above Lake
Granby.
