The lotal Pathfinder Reservoir storage at the beginning of Water Year 1972 was
7.~~, 000 acre-feet which was 452 percent of the recent 10-year average and 273, 000
nere-feet more than iast year. Releases through Fremont Canyon Powerplant for
power production would average about 850 c. f. s. during the October-January
period. This plan of operation would provide the desired winter release at Gray
Reef, maintain the normal winter operating level of AlcovaReservoir, and trans-
fer about 200,000 acre-feet [rom Pathfinder Reservoir to Glendo Reservoir.
Planned Pathfinder Reservoir storage on January 31 of 898,000 acre-feet would
be near the maximum reservoir content during Water Year 1972.

Alcova

Aleova Reservoir storage would be lowered to the normal winter operating level
(Elevation 5488 - 155, ~OO acre-feet) during October, and maintained at that level
through February 1 f)72.

Glendo and Guernsey

The initial Glendo Reservoir storage, 128,000 acre-feet, was 198 percent of
normal and 52,000 acre-feet more than last year . Releases from Fremont Canyon
Powerplant, reduction of Alcova storage to normal winter levels, and normal
river gain would increase Glenda Reservoir storage to 380,000 acre-feet by
JanLlary 31. About 19,000 acre-feet would be transferred to the Inland Lakes
during October. The Inland Lakes water ownership in Guernsey would gain about
S, 500 acre-feet during the October-November period and North Platte-Guernsey
water ownership would accrue 15,000 acre-feet during December and January.
The Kendrick project and the Glenda unit would not gain any water ownership
during this period.
