Check for sloughs, slides, slumps, and other signs of <br /> <br />distress near dam abutments. <br /> <br />k. Attempt to reestablish contact with the Chama Field Division <br /> <br />and/or the URGBP office for additional instructions. <br /> <br />4. SLUMPING OR CRACKING OF THE DAM OR ABUTMENTS <br /> <br />a. Determine: <br /> <br />(I) Location; <br /> <br />(2) Size of affected area(s) in height, width, and depth; <br /> <br />(3) Severity; <br /> <br />(4) Estimated discharge (whether clear or muddy water); and <br /> <br />(5) Reservoir and tailwater elevations. <br /> <br />b.
