of operation, were 129,023 acre-feet, about 4,351 acre-feet
less than the comparable period in 1971. Total salts dis.
charged during the partial operation year '1972 are estimated
to be 636,822 tons, a reduction from the quantity discharged
during the comparable period in the 6th year of about 29,930
tons due to the decrease in salinity of the pumped waters.
The average salinity of the Well ton-Mohawk drainage waters in
the final period of operation in the conveyance channel above
Morelos Dam averaged about 3630 ppm, a reduction of about 50 ppm
from that during the comparable period in 1971. Comparative data
are tabulated on the following page, and sho"~ graphically in
Exhibit 5.
