We agree that Section 7 consultation is an effective <br /> <br /> <br />recovery tool, and as a subactivity it is underbudgeted. An efficient <br /> <br />long-term tracking system needs to be developed that would give us an idea <br />of the time and effort being utilized in consultation as well as a tool to <br />monitor development projects. However, any tracking effort or system can <br />not overshadow the goals and responsibilities of the Act. <br /> <br />Pace 23. Paraoraoh 2.
