<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />summary of proceeding/Motions <br />october 1 & 2, 1990 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />STORM SEWER REGULATION RULEMAKING HEARING: <br /> <br />The Commission conducted a rulemaking hearing to consider changing the <br />title of the regulation prohibiting certain discharges to storm sewers, <br />5.1.0 (5 CCR 1002-7). No comment was received. Following the close of <br />the record, Commissioner McGrath moved approval of the proposed title <br />change. Commissioner Harrison seconded the motion. The motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />SECTION 3051bl REPORT INFORMATIONAL HEARING: <br /> <br />The Commission conducted an informational hearing to consider approval of <br />the 1990 Section 305(b) report on the status of water quality in <br />Colorado. Comments were received from the Division and interested members <br />of the public. Because the Division staff contemplates making further <br />revisions to the report, the Commission agreed to schedule final action on <br />this item for its November meeting. <br /> <br />GUNNISON BASIN RULEMAKING DELIBERATIONS: <br /> <br />The COmmission conducted further deliberations regarding issues raised in <br />the Gunniscd Basin water ~~ality classifications, standards and <br />designations rulemaking hearing. The discussion focused on the <br />appropriate approach to recreational use classifications. No action was <br />taken, and the deliberations were continued to the Tuesday session when <br />all Commissioners wo~ld be present. <br /> <br />TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1990 <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Shirley Phillips Ela, Mary J. Gearhart, Sue Ellen Harrison, Connie King, <br />Jan G. Laitos, T. Shawn McGrath, Robert Pearson, Florine P. Raitano, and <br />David R. Sturges. <br /> <br />CONTINUATION OF GUNNISON BASIN RULEMAKING DELIBERATIONS: <br /> <br />The Commission continued its discussion of the recreation classification <br />issue. Following discussion, Commissioner Gearhart moved to reopen the <br />hearing on the recreation class 1 versus recreation class 2 classification <br />issue, to consider additional written comment received and any oral <br />comment provided today, and to continue the hearing to the Commission's <br />November meeting, to receive additional written comments on the new <br />tentative decision and related draft Statement of Basis and Purpose <br />language, and oral comments, not to exceed ten minutes, at the November <br />meeting.
