<br />, <br />! <br /> <br />000338 <br /> <br />:~ <br /> <br />Anticipated Inputs <br /> <br />At this time only a tentative, generalized description of the expected <br /> <br />inputs to the study by the various Federal agencies, States, and other <br /> <br />interested entities can be made. Specific assignments for inputs <br /> <br />with schedules for completion will be made in a detailed plan of study <br /> <br />which will be developed after official review of this Study Plan <br /> <br />Outline by participating Federal and State agencies. <br /> <br />It is expected that the following parti~ipating Federal and State <br /> <br />agencies will be requested to: <br /> <br />Department of ARriculture - Provide quantitative evaluation of the <br /> <br />effects and accomplishments of watershed management programs on water <br /> <br />yields, quality of runoff, recharge of ground water, control of flooda, <br /> <br />increased infiltration and reduction of erosion and sedimentation, <br /> <br />including the assessment of programs in watershed management under <br /> <br />consideration by State and private organizations; provide the scope <br /> <br />and evaluation of impacts of rural srea development programs on the <br /> <br />Western United States Water Plan; provicle a comprehensive study of <br /> <br />the projected use of national forests for recreation, commercial <br /> <br />timber production, grazing, watershed management, scenic and wild <br /> <br />rivers, and also provide quantitative estimates of the ultimate effect <br /> <br />of these projected uses on water utilization, water quality, and <br /> <br />watershed yields; and develop the agricultural production requirements <br /> <br />and opportunities identifiable with national sod regional development <br /> <br />objectives, <br /> <br />10 <br />
