<br />OOu33S <br /> <br />Department of Defense - Provide hydrologic data and analyaes of <br /> <br />operations for the main stem of the Missouri River and, in concert <br /> <br /> <br />with Bonneville Power Administration, for the Columbia River Basin, <br /> <br /> <br />Also requested are information and data germane to Department of <br /> <br /> <br />Defense activities in water resource development and use having a <br /> <br />potential effect on the formulation of the Western United States <br /> <br />Water Plan, These activities include flood control problems and <br /> <br />solutions, navigation, beach erosion and shoreline control, channel- <br /> <br />ization, and project development investigations such as those <br /> <br />involving the California North Coast, Delta flood control and <br />navigation, and the east side of the Central Valley, <br /> <br />Federal Power Commission - Provide projected long-range power demand., <br /> <br />production schedules, related water requirements, and alternative <br /> <br />means of cooling thermal plants, including estimates of the probable <br />impact on water quality and the environment. Comparative analyses of <br /> <br />alternate sources of energy which are not dependent upon the water <br /> <br />resource will also be requested. <br /> <br />HousinR and Urban Development - Provide data and information contained <br /> <br />in on-going and projected future programs, studies relating to new <br /> <br />cities planning, and include quantitative evaluations of the impact <br /> <br />of the agency's developments on the Western United States Water <br /> <br />Plan. <br /> <br />11 <br />
