<br />to capture, reoapture, use and reuse the said added supply so often and as it

<br />may appear at the stream intake headgates of aqueducts and reservoirs serving
<br />lands within said Distriot.
<br />The United Stetes does not abandon or relinquish any of the increment
<br />or seepage or return flow water coming from the irrigetion of lands or other
<br />uses supplied with water from or through the works constructed by the United
<br />States, but that the same is reserved and intended to be retained.

<br />GENERAL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
<br />
<br />Claimants' water system, known as the Colorado-Big Thompson Projeot,
<br />comprises an extensive system of diversion works, tunnels, oanals, conduits,
<br />basins, pumping plants, hydro-electrio plants, and other structures for
<br />impounding, diversion and use of water for said purposes, all initiated, con-
<br />
<br />struoted and under process of construction, or contemplated for the diversion,
<br />
<br />carriage and use of water by oanals, tunnels, conduits, dams, power plants
<br />
<br />and basins for an entire, interconnected and inter-dependent water system.
<br />
<br />The principel objectives of the projeot are to furnish supplemental
<br />irrigation water to the lands of the Northern Colorado Water Conservanoy
<br />District and to produce hydro-electrioal energy for the entire Rocky Mountein
<br />area and in so doing prevent any losses of presently enjoyed rights of the
<br />owners in the upper Colorado River Basin. The principal structures end their
<br />
<br />functions in the project sre as follows:

<br />1. Green Mountsin Reservoir (Sheet 1. Exhibit C). located in Summit
<br />County. Colorsdo, is formed by a dam across,the Blue River. The normal high
<br />water surface is elevation 7950.0 feet in the reservoir. Ths reservoir is
<br />located in all or parts of Sections II, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 24, T. 2 S., R. 80 W.,
<br />and Secticns 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 28, 29, 33 and 34, T. 2 S., R. 79 W. The
<br />Green Mountain Dam, aoross the bed of the Blue River is located in Section 15,
<br />T. 2 S., R. 80 w. The looat~on of the axis of the da~ is described as follows.
