Colorado. and <br /> <br /> <br />more particularly in all or parts of Ssctions 22. 27 and 28, '1'. 5 N.. R. 70 w.. <br /> <br /> <br />6th Principal Meridian. The reservoir is formed by placing an earth and rock <br /> <br /> <br />fill dam acroSs Dry Creek. a tributary of the Big Thompson River. The maximum <br /> <br /> <br />water surfaoe of said reservoir i~ elevation 5462.0 feet. <br /> <br /> <br />The reservoir will be used for pondage or re-regulation of disoharges <br /> <br /> <br />from the Flatiron Power Plant into uniform flows for irrigation deliveries. <br /> <br /> <br />The location of the axis of Flatiron Dam is desoribed as follows I <br /> <br /> <br />Starting at the NE corner of Section 27. '1'. 5 N.. R. 70 W.. the south <br /> <br /> <br />end of the main dam axis bears S. 460 15' w. a distance of 750 feet. The beering <br /> <br /> <br />of the axis of the dan is N. 120 00' W. from said station and the dam crest is <br /> <br /> <br />1085 feet in length. The height of the dam is 137 feet above the lowest point <br /> <br /> <br />in the foundation exoavation. <br /> <br /> <br />The souroes of supply for Flatiron Reservoir ere appropriated projeot <br /> <br /> <br />waters delivered from the Flatiron Power Flant and the excess direot flows of <br /> <br /> <br />Dry Creek and its tributaries above the Flatiron Dam. Dry Creek normal and <br /> <br /> <br />flood flows will be returned to ite stream bed by means of an outlet through <br /> <br /> <br />and a spillway adjacent to the Flatiron Dam. <br /> <br /> <br />The above ground surface capacity of Flatiron Reservoir is as <br /> <br />, <br />follows: 20,000 aore feet. <br /> "Dead" storage 15,OOO acre feet <br /> "Active" storage 5,000 aore feet <br /> "Bank"' storage 500 acre feet <br /> Total storage 20.500 acre feet <br /> <br />The Horsetooth Feeder Canal consists of three ssparate psrts, <br /> <br />namely. the Fletiron Section, the Horeetooth Section, and Tunnel No.1. <br /> <br />2640 <br /> <br />
