<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- 24 - <br /> <br />said inlet has its beginning in the Flatiron Power Plant. which is located <br />in the NEt of Seotion 33, T. 5 N., R. 70 W., 6th Principal Meridian, and extend a <br /> <br />in a southeasterly direotion for a distance of approximately 1.2 miles to the <br /> <br /> <br />heading in Carter Lake Reservoir, which point is in Secticn 34 and bears N. 730 <br /> <br />15' 22" E., 356.8 feet frcm the South Quarter corner of Section 34, T. 5 N., <br /> <br /> <br />R. 70 W., 6th Principal Meridian. The bottom grade of said tunnel is flat <br /> <br />and ia at the low water elevation of Carter Lake Reservoir. <br /> <br />Carter Lake Reservoir is located in Larimer County, Colorado, and <br /> <br /> <br />more particularly in all or parts cf Section 34 and 35, T. 5 N., R. 70 W., and <br /> <br /> <br />Seotions 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 15 and 16, T. 4 N., R. 70 w., 6th Prinoipel Meridian. <br /> <br /> <br />The reservoir is formed by plaoing en earth and rock fill dam end two earth <br /> <br />and rock fill dikes across unnamed streams, tributaries of Dry Creek which is <br /> <br /> <br />a tributary of the Little Thompson River. The construction of these mnbank- <br /> <br />ments enlarges the oapaoity of the existing Carter Lake to form a storage <br /> <br /> <br />reservoir. The maximum water surfaoe elevation 1s 5800.0 feet. <br /> <br /> <br />The location of the axis of Carter Leke Dam ia described as rollowsl <br /> <br /> <br />Starting at the SE corner of Section la, T. 4 N., R.70 W.. Station 0 100 of <br /> <br /> <br />the axis bears N. 39020' W., a distance of 1827 feet. The bearing of the axis <br /> <br /> <br />of the darn is N. 2007' E. from said station and is 1220 faet in length. The <br /> <br /> <br />height of the dam is 198 feet. <br /> <br />The location of the axia of Dike No.1 is described as follows: <br />Starting at the SE corner of Seotion 3, T. 4 N., R. 701'1., Station 0 100 <br />of the axis bears N. 60541' W., a distance of 1918 feet. The bearing of the <br />axis of the dike is N. 580 32' E. from 8aid station and 1038 feet in length. <br />The height of Dika No. 1 i8 75 feet. <br /> <br />The location of the axis of Dike No.2 is described a8 followsl <br /> <br />Starting at the NE corner of Section 3, T. 4 N., R.70 W., Station 0 100 of <br />the axis beara N 70 - 30 W., a diatance of 670 feet. The bearing of the axis <br />o <br />of the dike is N. 46 23' W. from s8id station and is 1226 feet in length. The <br />height of Dike No. 2 is 50 feet. <br /> <br />The sources of supply of Carter Leke Reservoir are project appropriated <br />waters delivered through the inlet tunnel'and tributaries of Carter Leke. <br /> <br />The above ground surface capacity,of sa1d reservo1r is as follows. <br /> <br />161,800 acre feet. <br /> <br />2641 <br /> <br />--.-'-' <br /> <br />
