The technical services identified at this time include the following:

I, Provide assistance to the CRDSS management team,
2, Develop a cost estimate to move the consumptive use model, CRDSS-CU, to a PC,
3, Develop unique operating rules for StateMod to simulate the Check Case Settlement
on the Colorado River Basin model.
4, Assist in developing a StateMod application to the Gunnison River Basin,

1. Task 1 Provide Assistance to the CRDSS management team.

Introduction: The State requires technical assistance from Leonard Rice related to
CRDSS management issues, Following are the activities required to execute this
Task:

1,1, Upon verbal authorization of the State attend CRDSS management team
meetings which typically occur twice a month.
1,2, Upon verbal authorization of the State attend CRDSS T AC meetings,
Two are expected to occur during the duration of this contract.
1,3. Provide information requested by the CRDSS management team related to
CRDSS past and planned development.
1,4, Provide monthly invoices and progress reports which describe activities
performed,

2. Task 2 Develop a cost estimate to Port the CRDSS Consumptive Use Model,
(CRDSS-CU) to a Pc.

Introduction: The State wants CRDSS-CU to operate on a PC, CRDSS-CU is
currently a FORTRAN program that operates on a UNIX workstation from a
command line or from a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that is part of the of the
Visual Data Browser. It contains components that allow both the Modified
Blaney Criddle and Penman Montief equations to estimate consumptive use,
Because CRDSS-CU is written in FORTRAN, porting it to a PC is expected to
occur relatively easily, Because the current CRDSS-CU Gur was developed in
X-Montief for a UNIX workstation, it cannot be ported to a PC and must be
rewritten, Following are the activities required to execute this Task:

c:/w/crdss/scope/R Ti/toROSS-l.doc

1/16/97-1
