S. Highway <br /> <br />No. 40 near the utah-Colorado State line in Utah. state Highway <br /> <br /> <br />No. 159, a third class road, follows up Douglas Crook, south from <br /> <br />Rail gely, cr~llsing Douglns Pass to connect with U. S. Highvfay No. 50 <br /> <br /> <br />in the Colorado River Valley at Loma, Colorado. <br /> <br /> <br />Rangely, a small inlanQ to\VO located in ,the western part of <br /> <br />the area, has telephone service but other public utilities are not <br /> <br />available. High-school and grade-school facilities are located at <br /> <br />Rnngely. <br /> <br />,Clirnnti~ Conditions <br /> <br />Climatic conditions of this urea are similar to those of <br /> <br /> <br />~he high altitude, inter-mountainous areas of western Colorado. <br /> <br />Summers are short, with hot days and cool nights.
