For the full period of <br /> <br />record, 1891-1926 and 1951-1940, precipitation averaged 15.85 inches <br />y .1 <br />annually. During the 1~-1940 period the seasonal precipitation, <br /> <br />April through September, averaged 9.11 inches. <br /> <br />y <br />Average ,annual precipitation (15-year record) at Rangely <br /> <br />was 10.15 inches, of which 5.05 inches, or 49;9 percent, occurred <br /> <br /> <br />during tile period April through September. lKaximum annual precipi- <br />tatJ;on recoil!!:d at this station was 17.93 inches and the minimum <br />, <br /> <br />was 5.98 inches. Snowfall has averaged 40.8 inches annually, but <br /> <br />in some years there is scarcely any snqwfall. <br /> <br />Temperature <br /> <br />The growing season, according to available records, varies <br /> <br />in length from an average of 88 days at Meeker, elevation 6,500 <br /> <br />feet, to an average of 115 days at Rangely, elevation 5,400 feet. <br /> <br />Temperature records are available at Ueeker for 58 years <br /> <br />and at Rangely for 8 years.
