.

.

Page #7

The proposed points of diversion are described by
reference to a map which is not available to me. Gener-
ally the proposed diversions contemplate the taking of
water of the Williams Fork River and its tributaries and
drainage tributary to the Blue River between the Williams
Fork River points and a proposed tunnel (known as the
Webster Tunnel) at and above elevation 9013 feet. Also
waters are proposed to be taken from Black Creek and
drainage tributary to the Blue River between Black Creek
and the so-called Webster Tunnel at and above elevation
9013 feet. It is specifically stated that all waters of
the Blue River and its tributaries originating above a
point whence the East ~uarter corner of Section 18,
Township 5 South, Range 77 West of the Sixth P. M. bears
South 70030' East, 6600 feet will be controlled and
diverted. It is stated that, at this last described
location a dam will be constructed of sufficient size
and capacitl, to effect the diversion into the Webster
Tunnel and 'to equalize and adjust the daily and seasonal
fluctuations of the natural drainage."

The amount of water claimed is a total of 3300 c.f.s.
made up of the following:

700 c.f.s. from the Williams Fork
and intermediate drainage;
1000 c.f.s. from the Black Creek
and in t e rme di ate drainage;,
1600 c.f.s. from the Blue River above
the described diversion point.

The waters are claimed for direct flow and storage
"under agreement heretofore made with the City and County
of Denver and to be made with other governmental agencies
and with private persons and corporations". It is asserted
that part of the storage is to occur in reservoirs hereto-
fore completed and part in reservoirs yet to be constructed.
In any event storage is contemplated by exchange in the,
following reservoirs:

Cheeseman
Eleven Mile
Antero

79,000 a.f.
81,917 a.f.
85,564 a.f.

In regard to this storage the same claim is asserted, as
is asserted by Denve~for filling, refilling and replacement
of seepage or evaporation.

2526
