<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Page #6 <br /> <br />The priority dates sought are March 21, 1914 for <br />direct flow rights to 1600 c.f.s., March 21, 1914 for <br />all storage, except that the date of October 1, 1941 is <br />claimed for the Dil~on Reservoir. <br /> <br />In connection with the claim for storage, attention <br />is directed to the following paragraph on page 7: <br /> <br />"Claim is also made for use of said waters <br />and said storage reservoirs for regulatory <br />purposes and for filling and refilling and for <br />replacement of any seepage or evaporation." <br /> <br />The purposes for which the waters are claimed are <br />stated so as to include practically any use to which the <br />water might be put. <br /> <br />It is stated that the lands proposed to be irrigated <br />consist of lands in Denver approximating 33,000 acres and <br />also "such other lands in the vicinity of the City and <br />County of Denver as may from time to time be covered by <br />temporary rental contracts negotiated by claimant with <br />the owners of said lands". <br /> <br />Under the heading "Dates of Appropriation" it is said: <br /> <br />"Construction work on this project was commenced <br />March 21, 1914 by survey, and on the storage feature <br />of the Dillon Reservoir OIl! October 1, 1941 by survey." <br /> <br />Claims of South Platte Water Users <br />Association <br /> <br />The South Platte Water Users Association has filed <br />identical claims in 1805 and 1806. These claims were both <br />verified November 14, 1942, but the data submitted to me <br />does not disclose the date of filing in court. <br /> <br />These claims are of a general and catch-all nature, <br />it being stated on pages 2 and 3 that: <br /> <br />"Because of the magnitude of the project, <br />details of procedure and construction will require <br />modification to meet exigencies as they arise, and <br />it is the intention of this claimant that this <br />statement shall apply to such modifications exactly <br />as if included in this statement." <br /> <br /><'S<,? . <br />
