M&I costs shall be <br />deferred, and interest shall not accrue during the deferral period, pursuant <br />to special legislation. <br />c. Other Sources <br />i. Mancos River - 21,000 acre-ft per year for irrigation of <br />7,200 acres of land with an 1868 priority date subordinated to all rights <br />adjudicated prior to 1985. <br />ii. Navajo Wash - direct flow reserved water right for <br />diversion of 4--,400 acre-ft per year with an 1868 priority date subordinated <br />to all rights adjildicatecf prior to 1985. <br />Hi. San Juan River - direct flow reserved wat er right for 10 <br />cfs with priority date of 1868 limited to 1,600 acre-ft per year. <br /> <br />2. Southern Ute Indian Tribe shall be entitled to use water from the <br />following sources: <br />a. Animas-LaPlata Project - average annual supply of 26,500 acre-ft <br />per year of M&I water and 3,400 acre-ft per year of agricultural irrigation <br />water from Ridges Basin Reservoir pending completion of Southern Ute Reservoir. <br />M&I water allocations shall be fully satisfied. Agricultural irrigation water <br />shortages will be shared pro rata with other Colorado users. The Le avitt Act <br />will apply to agricultural irrigation water costs. Costs allocable to the Tribe's <br />M&I water shall be deferred, and interest shall not accrue during such deferral, <br />pursuant to special legislation, until M&I water revenues are available. <br />b. Other Sources - based upon an irrigation season from May I to <br />September 30: <br />i. Florida River - the Tribe will use water stored behind Lemon <br />Dam in exchange for Winters water rights. The Florida Water Conservancy <br />District will assign 553 acre-ft per year to parcels 1,2, and 3. The Tribe will <br />pay for O&M charges. Table 1 below shows annual volumes of water, diversion <br />rates, and net acreages of certain other parcels upon which agreements were <br />reached. <br /> <br />.& ~^ , <br />
