TITLE 2500 - WATERSHED MANAGEMENT

4. Establish Regional procedures for evaluating the
effectiveness of applied rehabilitation measures.

5. Transmit the final accomplishment report FS-2500-8,
Burned Area Report, Washington Office, as per instructions
in FSH 2509.13.

6. Annually update through regional supplement to FSH
2509.13, Burned-Area Emergency Rehabilitation Handbook,
table 1 - Compound Interest and Annuity Table.

2523.04c - Forest Supervisors. Forest Supervisors shall:

1. Perform an interdisciplinary team burned-area
survey of class E (300 acres) and larger fires using
procedures in FSH 2509.13.

Submit an initial Form FS-2500-8, Burned-Area
to the Regional Forester within 3 days after
of the fire.

3. Ensure compatibility of emergency rehabilitation
treatments with long-range improvement needs.

4. Report project accomplishments by transmitting
final Form FS-2500-8, Burned Area Report, to the Regional
Forester.

5. Conduct post-treatment evaluation of projects to
determine if emergency rehabilitation measures have met the
planned objectives and are being properly maintained.

2523.04d - District Rangers. District Rangers shall:

1. Install or ensure that the fire suppression organi-
zation promptly installs necessary remedial measures on
areas damaged by suppression activities.

2. Install approved and funded emergency rehabilita-
tion measures on fire-damaged areas.

3. Monitor conditions on burned-over areas and main-
tain rehabilitation measures to keep them functioning as
designed and built.
