0018JO 2523.04b TITLE 2500 - WATERSHED MANAGEMENT e 2523.03 - Policy. Erosion control and other measures applied to correct damage caused by fire suppression activities are part of the fire suppression effort. Emergency rehabilita- tion of the fire-caused watershed damage is a separate activity. Burned-area surveys shall be made promptly on all burned-over areas to determine if watershed emergency rehabilitation treatment is needed. Interdisciplinary teams shall conduct burned-area surveys of all class E (300 acres) and larger fires. Skills required on an interdisciplinary team are dis- cussed in FSH 2509.13, Burned-Area Emergency Rehabilitation Handbook. See FSH 2509.13, section 03, for criteria required for funding approval. 2523.04 - Responsibilities 2523.04a - Director, Watershed and Air Management Staff. The Director, Watershed and Air Management Staff, shall: 1. Allocate specific annual funding approval authority to Regional Foresters. 2. Approve requests for Fighting Forest Fires (FFF 092) funds for emergency rehabilitation of burned areas for those projects requiring funding above Regional Forester's delegated authority. __ 3.
