Operations Guide

, I' . Jr.
Module Procelis~\;:;,
.1 ~e ?" tP \. ."

2.2.4 H430 Network Processin!!: The purpose of 8430 is to pre-check the network
for 8400. One of the checks is consistency of table units (reservoir contents may not be exprelised in
millimeters, flows may not be exprelised in acres, etc.) so the module uses the TBLB file to check the
units implied by usage in the Network File against the units actually used in the Table File.
Module 8430 should always be used with H4OO, especially when you begin to debug a
network. H430 requires very little from the computer, and has a more comprehensive set of
diagnostic messages than any other module in the HYDROSS system.

To run H430, you will need the following files:
NETS (*.NS ) Network source file.
TBLB (*.TBL) Table File (produced by H410).

H430 will produce the following files:
NETB (*.NE'D Network File.
MSG (* .MSG) Message File. The message file will be appended to
any previous message file.

The filenames of the input and output me MUST be specified. Either use the following
format or the ProjectName option described in paragraph 2.2.8 [page 12]. The options may appear
in any order. Each the filenames may be up to 63 characters in length, however DOS will not accept
all the characters should a full (63 characters) path be specified for each filename.

To run H430 using specified input files, use the following command:
H430 S=NETS T=TBLB N=NETB

2.2.5 H400 Comoute: This module performs the necessary calculations for the study.
All the following modules must be run to provide the necessary data, error checks, and formatted
files .

H400 requires that the following files be present.
INPC (* JNP) XC Input file.
TBLB (*.TBL) Table File (from H410).
FLOB (*.FLO) Flow File (from H420).
NETB (*.NET) Network File (from H430).

H400 generates the following files.
ODS (*.ODS) Calculations Output File, used by H450 to generate
reports .
MSG (*.MSG) Message File. The message file will be appended to
any previous message file.

The filenames of the input and output file MUST be specified. Either use the following
format or the ProjectName option described in paragraph 2.2.8 [page 12]. The options may appear
in any order. Each the filenames may be up to 63 characters in length, however DOS will not accept
a!! the characters should a full (63 characters) path be specified for each filename.

To run H400 using specified input files, use the following command:
H400 I=/NPC T=TBLB F=FLOB N=NETB O=ODS

'.

March 25, 1991

HYDROSS 4.1

Page 11
