~ ~ 1

002018

Operations Guide

Module Processing

2.2.2 H420 Flow Processinl!: The Flow File must include flows for each station for
each year of the study; flows for stations not in the network are permitted, and will be ignored by the
programs which use the file.

To run H420, you need the following files:
FLOS (* .FS ) Flow source file.

The program will generate the following files:
FLOB (*.FLO) Flow File.
MSG (*.MSG) Message File. The message file will be appended to
any previous message file.

The filenames of the input and output file MUST be specified. Either use the following
format or the ProjectName option described in paragraph 2.2.8 [page 121. The options may appear
in any order. Each the filenames may be up to 63 characters in length, however DOS will not accept
ail the characters should a full (63 characters) path be specified for each filename.

To run H420 using specified input files, use the following command:
H420 S=FLOS F=FLOB

2.2.3 H440 Station Map: This module produces a map of the stations and the flow. It
utilizes IBM's extended ASCII character set to produce a graphic image of the system. This "image"
is echoed to the screen and saved to a file.
The stations must be in the same sequence as required by module H430 (see section B.5
[page 41]). This module will re-sort the station list to group together stations. If stations are out of
sequence, so if the station map does not make sense the problem is most likely in the sequence of the
NETS file.

To run H440, you need the following files:
NETS (*.NS ) Network source file.

The program will generate the following flies:
GRF (*.GRF) Graphic (Map) File, unless otherwise specified.
MSG (*.MSG) Message File. The message file will be appended to
any previous message file.

The filenames of the input and output file MUST be specified. Either use the following
format or the ProjectName option described in paragraph 2.2.8 [Page 12]. The options may appear
in any order. Each the filenames may be up to 63 characters in length, however DOS will not accept
ail the characters should a full (63 characters) path be specified for each filename.

To run H440 using specified input files, use one of the following commands:
H440 S=NETS G=GRF
- or-
H440 S=NETS G=MSG

This variation places the station map into the message file
instead of the GRF file.

Page 10

HYDROSS 4.1

March 25, 1991
