<br />001132 <br /> <br />can be annoying. In addition, much of the land along the river <br /> <br />is privately owned, thus forcing the public to concentrate in <br /> <br />small areas. Improper land use is also evident throughout the <br /> <br />canyon. In time, undesirable subdivision and other development <br /> <br />could ruin the area permanently as a public recreation resource. <br /> <br />An associated problem, is the total closure of the Denver Water <br /> <br />Board's Cheesman Reservoir, a very attractive body of water in <br /> <br />the middle of the canyon, for public recreation use. <br /> <br />Water resource projects, which would be incompatible with wild <br /> <br />the 13 high-priority rivers identified earlier.
