<br />001237. <br /> <br />PROCEDURE : <br /> <br />Our general prooedure was to obtain all the information <br /> <br />possible regarding irrigated lands from various agenoies suoh as <br /> <br />the County Assessors, federal agricultural agenoies, private and <br /> <br />publio irrigation distriots, and then to actually field cheok the <br /> <br />irrigated land by oruising the areas and oheoldng the aerial photo- <br /> <br />graphs. <br /> <br />J. It was deoided not to check the irri- <br /> <br />gated lands under the North Platte Project in the field since the <br /> <br />annual projeot reports showing the "net oropped aoreage" would give <br /> <br />us suf'f'iaient reliable information regarding the extent of irriga- <br /> <br />tion within the projeot. <br /> <br />FIELD WORK: <br /> <br />r-"- <br /> <br />Sinae it was deoided to aooept the irrigated aoreage <br /> <br />figures listed in the. projeat reports of .the U. S. Bureau of Reala- <br /> <br />mation projeots, the aerial photos oovering these lands were not <br /> <br />(1) <br />field oheoked. However, off'ioials of' the projeot were oontaoted <br /> <br />in the field and a brief' swmnary of information expressed by these <br /> <br />offioials is presented herewith. <br /> <br />Those interviewed 'Were C. F. Gleason, Superintendent of <br /> <br />Po'Wer, North Platte Projeot; Mr. Storm, Engineer f'or the Pathfinder <br /> <br />Irrigation District; and Mr. Rausch, Superintendent of the Goshen <br /> <br />Irrigation District. Mditional information was seoured about in- <br /> <br />terpreting the govel'tlm'lnt reports and the manner in whioh they are <br /> <br /> <br />assembled. These offioials emphasiz ed the faot that the term "irri- <br /> <br />(1) rAn exoeption to the above 'ViB.S that we field cheoked the lands <br />irrigated Under the Northport Irrigation Distriot by using the aerial <br />photos.
