The net recreation benefits creditable to <br />the plan of development arc $139,000. The recreation benefits <br />discounted for stage construction total $103,000 annually. <br /> <br />Fish and ,~ildlifc. ^ September 10, 1969, report of <br />the Bureauof Sport FiSllOr1es and Wildlife estimatcd that fish and <br />wildlife enhancement bencH ts creditable to the plan of develop- <br />ment would total $97,100 annually. These benefi ts include $43,500 <br />for improved stream fishing, $36,000 for lake fishing, arid $17,600 <br />for I.dldlife hunting and wildlife-oriented recreation. These <br />benefits adjusted for staf,e construction total about $68,000 <br />annually. D. No. 91-369. <br /> <br />Water and air quali ty control. ^ddi tional bencH ts will <br />accrue from project construction and operation I~hich cannot be <br />assigned a monetary value. The quality. of water which will be <br />'aelivered to the Rio Grande is well within the limits of the Public <br />'Heal th Service drinking water standards. The addition of water to <br />the low f10\~ of the river wi 11 add to the aspects of general pub lic <br />health and esthetic values and 11111 generally improve the quality <br />of the stream. It is believed that all functions of the proposed <br />development would be. in compliance with air and I~ater quali ty <br />regulations established by Executive Order No. 11507. <br /> <br />Summary of benefi ts.
