<br />April 1, 1971 <br /> <br />OJ0333 <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />The Management Group will receive policy direction from the <br />Policy Group and suggest areas to the Policy Group where deci- <br />sions are needed. It is currently planned that the participants <br />who have major responsibilities for inputs to the study will <br />have a full-time representative located in Denver. Other par- <br />ticipants will provide full-time support to the ~bnagement <br />Group at appropriate times during the study. <br />The'~nagement Group will be responsible for developing a <br />progress reporting system to keep study participants abreast <br />of the study. Each agency representative in the ~Ianagement <br />Group will be responsible for monitoring associated studies <br />within his own agency, including research and development, <br />which have an impact on the Westwide Study. lie will also be <br />responsible for disseminating the information through appro- <br />priate channels. <br />The Implementation Group (See Exhibit 4) is responsible <br />for the compiling and assembling of necessary basic data, quanti- <br />fication of water needs and available water resources, and in <br />close coordination with the states, the initial development <br />of alternative plans to satisfy unmet water needs for states <br />and water resource regions. Representatives from the 11 Western <br />States, Federal agencies, the Pacific Northwest River Basins <br /> <br />Commission, and contracting entities and private interests <br /> <br />comprise this group. <br /> <br />l <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />IV-3 <br />
